About the role:

  • Create programs that are developed to enrich the lives of individuals and their families through leisure, lifestyle, learning & spiritual activities
  • Ensure residents receive appropriate assessments including their life history that will form part of their integrated care plan
  • Building and delivering an integrated approach for community engagement
  • Embody a person-centred approach, recognising and promoting the individual's unique goals and preferences
  • Build strong and productive relationships with your team to deliver positive outcomes for residents

About You:
We are excited to hear from you about this role! We are looking out for:

  • Demonstrated compassion, tolerance, patience and empathy for aged people
  • Understanding of the ageing process and an interest in dementia care
  • Demonstrated experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of lifestyle/recreational activities in an aged care environment
  • Your ability to work efficiently by optimising the use of technology within your role
  • Ability to communicate effectively with consumers, relatives and all members of the care team
  • Certificate IV Leisure and Lifestyle with a minimum of 12mths experience

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role.
