Description

Veterinary Nurse | Sylvania Veterinary Hospital | Full Time
A great team, a fresh chapter, and a network that genuinely has your back.

Sylvania Veterinary Hospital is a passionate, fully-equipped small animal hospital on the Princes Highway — and we're on the lookout for a brilliant Veterinary Nurse to join us for an exciting new chapter. We serve Sylvania and the surrounding communities including but not limited to Sutherland, Kirrawee, Miranda, Gymea and beyond. We're known for the kind of comprehensive, compassionate care that keeps clients coming back for life. Think dental x-ray, digital DR x-ray, ultrasound, in-house IDEXX machines, separate cat and dog waiting areas with dedicated entrances, and ample parking right out front. Led by Dr Sarah, Dr Jade, and Practice Manager Kyla — we're building something really good here, and we'd love the right person to be part of it.

And because we're part of the VetPartners network — Australia and New Zealand's largest vet care group — you're joining so much more than a great clinic. You're joining a community of over 1,000 vets and nurses, with real perks, real training, and genuine support behind you every single day.

We know this industry isn't without its challenges — and we take that seriously.

Your wellbeing is not an afterthought here. We're committed to a safe, supportive environment backed by real safety standards, EAP support, a Mental Health First Aid network, and our VP Cares benefits program.

What you'll be doing

  • Delivering exceptional nursing care across a varied and interesting caseload

  • Animal handling, IV catheter placement, and blood collection

  • Anaesthetic monitoring, patient admission and discharge

  • Assisting our vets across surgeries and procedures

  • Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organisation across the hospital and kennel areas

  • Client communication and education

  • Helping out with reception and admin tasks as needed

What we're looking for

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with a minimum of 2 years' clinical experience

  • Confidence across all areas of general practice nursing

  • A genuine love for animals and the people who love them

  • Someone who treats every patient like their own

  • A positive, team-first attitude with a commitment to excellent patient care and client service

Here's the thing about being part of VetPartners.
