Air Freight Operations Specialist - Brisbane

THE ROLE
As a Air Freight Operations Specialist, you'll be responsible for coordinating air freight movements across domestic and international routes. The role leans heavily on email communication with a range of contacts, along with some phone-based support to ensure seamless operations.
These activities will include but not be limited to:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Liaise with customers at every stage of their shipment process
- Provide excellent customer service and manage client relationships
- Find solutions for highly regulated shipments by air and road
- Book export airline shipments and track the progress of shipments
- Check Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and handle Dangerous Goods (DG) shipments, including repacking and documentation
- Assist with processing, repacking, and preparing shipments
- Collaborate with in-house teams and other companies to ensure the timely pickup and collection of freight
- Consolidate information and liaise with our Broker for prompt release of inbound international cargo
- Assist with pickups and deliveries as needed
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Air Freight Operations Specialist Experience
- High attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license
- Computer literacy and proficiency in using logistics systems
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to communicate clearly and provide alternative solutions to clients and peers
- Excellent multitasking, prioritisation, and time management skills
- Dangerous Goods (DG) accreditation is a plus, though training will be provided
- Knowledge of airfreight operations is preferred
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the role
- A committed, reliable, and proactive attitude
