The Opportunity

Ceilings by Design is recruiting an Internal Trade Sales Representative for their Morningside facility. This is your entry point into commercial construction sales - you'll handle trade enquiries, prepare project quotes, and build relationships with builders and contractors across South East Queensland.

This role is recruiting through Giide on behalf of Ceilings by Design.

What You'll Do

This is an internal sales position - you're the commercial frontline for builders, contractors, project managers while also working in to support external sales and management to ensure the customer is supported.

Your day-to-day:

1. 40% Trade counter & phone enquiries - technical product advice and customer service
2. 35% Quoting & estimating - prepare pricing for construction projects using estimating software
3. 25% Order processing & coordination - sales orders, delivery scheduling, project liaison

You'll gain hands-on experience in construction project workflows, commercial pricing, and customer relationship management. This isn't admin support - this is sales with technical components.

Who We're Looking For IDEAL CANDIDATE: 1-3 years' experience in trade sales, customer service, or estimating within construction, hardware, building materials, or wholesale industries.

ALSO WELCOME: Career changers from retail management, hospitality management, or commercial administration who have strong numeracy skills, confident customer-facing experience, and genuine interest in construction.

Skills that matter:

2. Strong with numbers - pricing accuracy is critical
3. Detail-oriented and reliable
4. Quick learner with commercial awareness
5. Team player who can work independently

Bonus points:

1. Understanding of construction industry and projects
2. Experience with quoting or estimating software
3. Exposure to building materials or trade products

1. What's On OfferSalary: $65,000 - $75,000 + superannuation (based on experience)

Your Career Path

Months 1-3: Learn products, systems, pricing. Shadow experienced team members.
