About the department
The Perioperative Service at the Women’s is a comprehensive, dedicated department incorporating all aspects involved in surgical intervention for patients, including the Operating Theatre and the Day Surgery Unit. The Operating Suite provides surgical services 24 hours per day, seven days a week and consists of Six operating theatres, one procedure room, and a ten bay PACU. Surgical specialties include Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Urogynaecology, Breast, and Oncology.
About the role
As an Grade 1 – Grade 4 Theatre Technician you will be responsible for providing technical care to women and their families within a multidisciplinary team environment, working collegially with other health professionals, and under the leadership of a Grade 5 Theatre Technician.
In addition, you will provide patient focused care for women and babies. The care provided is evidence based and directed to improving the surgical outcomes for women and their families. Educational support can also be provide for motivated applicants.
