We are seeking a diligent and proactive Store Person / General Hand to join our team on a cutting-edge thermal, BESS, and solar hybrid power plant project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient management of all site stores, including receiving, storing, issuing, and dispatching materials and equipment. Additionally, this role will involve providing general labour and housekeeping support across various project activities as required, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the site. Location: Girrahween Project - Stores and General Hand requirement for the project, Local candidate preferred from Miles or Chinchilla. This is a 6 day week 10 hours per day position

What you'll do:

  • Material Planning & responding to both Local and Projects business material requirements.

  • Accurate picking, packing, load and unload of items as per the provided packing list.

  • Work closely with purchasing team and key stakeholders to ensure on time delivery of non-available parts and escalate as necessary when issues are not getting resolved.

  • Liaise with Logistics on booking and collection of airfreight / sea- freight shipments.

  • Maintain on-time delivery KPIs and active involvement in driving continuous improvement.

  • Maintain an accurate picking, item allocation, item transfers and documentation process to meet and exceed inventory accuracy target.

  • Review of submitted stock requests for Central Store and providing necessary visibility of estimate time of arrival to relevant team members

  • Review of received stock transfers into the Central Stores and releasing of orders for allocated parts and liaise with purchasing team for any item shortages.

  • Informing Supply Chain Team on non-availability/parts shortages to support on-time supplies as per project requests.

  • Keep track of upcoming de-mobilizations and take appropriate actions.

  • Visit Project sites as required to support Project mobilization or demobilization.

To thrive in this role, you'll have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience (2+ years) in a Store Person, Warehouse Assistant, or General Hand role, preferably within a construction, industrial, or power generation environment.
  • Experience working on large-scale projects, particularly in renewable energy (solar, BESS) or thermal power, is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver's license; forklift operator certification.
  • Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems (e.g., Microsoft Excel, simple database entry).
  • Physically Fit.
