A successful Australian company with global outreach is currently seeking an Application Support Specialist with SQL and Linux experience to join their growing team in Sydney.
The ideal candidate will have strong SQL, Linux and Azure experience with understanding of code to support the backend systems.
Acting as a senior within the team, your core responsibilities will be to:
- Provide support for the company's applications and systems including config, debugging and support
- Reviewing code for bugs and expected functionality, Software Updates, SSL certs, Server config
- Incident and problem management
- Writing advanced SQL scripts, Querying/Amending databases
- API management
- Managing and monitoring all tickets ensuring all are kept up to date within SLAs
- Acting as a final point of escalation for incidents
Key Skills / Experience:
- Experience of application support and systems analysis
- Extensive background working with technical and non-technical stakeholders and customers
- Solid proven working experience of Azure and SQL (Querying, writing scripts etc)
- Experience of programming/debugging/understanding code (Linux and SQL)
- Proven diagnosis and investigation experience within a software/IT support function
- Proven experience of managing incidents through to resolution or escalation
- Appreciation of ITIL principles
