About the role

Laing O’Rourke are currently seeking a Senior Planner to join our team on the Sydenham to Bankstown upgrade for Sydney Metro (S2B). This is your opportunity to join a privately-owned Tier 1 constructor and International Engineering Enterprise. This role is suited to candidates with prior rail or heavy industrial engineering exposure and a strong command of P6.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess detailed project and plans for all stages and facets of a projects lifecycle with the view to help deliver project outcomes on time
  • Liaise with project team, project management, client representatives and government agencies to develop solutions and strategies to achieve project and business goals
  • Assisting in the development of strategies to mitigate identified risks.
  • Develop and maintain a realistic schedules of work, basis of schedule and resource management in accordance with best-practice

 About you

  • Solid exposure in Project Planning & Scheduling across construction, road, rail or heavy industrial engineering sectors
  • Existing knowledge of construction techniques, methodologies, and processes
  • A strong command of P6
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a similar discipline.
