About You :

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or recognised equivalent
  • AHPRA certification
  • NDIS worker screen

Position Summary :

Enabled Designs provides allied health services in the home and community to people of all ages and abilities to improve everyday living and maximise independence. Enabled Designs are leaders in finding solutions for complex challenges through collaborative, high quality and innovative allied health services that support people to achieve meaningful lives.

As a Senior Occupational Therapist with Enabled Designs, you are responsible for providing occupational therapy services to our clients and their families, working with the client's care team to assess, set goals, develop solutions, provide interventions and evaluate client outcomes.

In this role, you have a responsibility to identify and lead clinical and business-related continuous improvement activities and effectively contribute towards the achievement of the company's vision and purpose and provide mentorship and supervision to therapy staff taking a lead in the development of therapy staffs skills and knowledge translation within our team.

As part of the senior therapy team, you are responsible for working with others to update therapy service provision, ensuring that the use of evidence-informed practice, professional development and knowledge translation is taking place across the team.

This role in the Health Professional and Support Service Award 2020 is classified as Health Professionals employee Level 3.

Key Requirements :

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Occupational Therapy with a demonstration of competency in providing Occupational Therapy services to complex clients and situations
  • Ability to work within a team and autonomously
  • Specific skills required in assessment, occupational analysis, goal setting, developing intervention plans and evaluating client outcomes
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills and the ability to coordinate an assigned caseload and company commitments
  • Demonstrated effective and professional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and provide patient-centred practice
  • Demonstrated ability to being punctual, reliable and committed
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office suite, OT drawing programs, client management software
  • Demonstrated ability to follow direction and take initiative
  • Knowledge of the NDIS desirable

Job Responsibility :

  • Provide high quality customer service to clients and external stakeholders
  • Respect confidentiality and privacy of practitioners, directors, staff and clients at all times
  • Undertake special projects and portfolios as agreed to enhance the company and service delivery
  • Participate in training and development and supervision and coaching of other team members
  • Provide peer support to new team members
