Science Technician

The company supplies vitamins and fine chemicals including plant derived products, vitamin products, nutraceuticals, oils and etc. Over the years the company has forged partnerships with strategic manufacturers in China and elsewhere around the world for the quality of their goods and their commitment to ongoing supply. a Science Technician to join us in our head office on a permanent full-time basis.

About the role

Key responsibilities:

• Perform research and experiments on different kinds of plant, probiotics and algae, investigate their chemical structure and components by systematic observation as well as effects on human organs and metabolism system;

• Improve existing products or develop new products by applying plant extraction, probiotics and algae materials, make trials and send to customer for their approval;

• Collect samples of raw materials, in-process and finished products;

• Perform routine chemical and microbiological analyses in laboratory, such as exam bacteria, fungi, yeast and other micro-organisms;

• Develop analytical methods for non-compendium raw materials and validate the methods;

• Control the quality and quantity of laboratory supplies by testing samples and monitoring usage;

• Operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment. Prepare and maintain documentation and follow up general testing duties;

• Writing experiment reports and liaise with internal stakeholders in manufacturing, R&D manager and quality assurance.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor degree or higher in Bioscience related field.

• Minimum one year experience in similar role.

• Good oral and written communication skills

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills

• Co-operative Team worker is a must

• Bilingual preferred (English & Mandarin)
