We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team to support the daily operations within our growing family-run business.
Position: Warehouse Sales Assistant
Location: Smithfield, Sydney
Role: Full-time
Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 per annum plus superannuation
Objectives of this role
·Fulfill general administrative duties such as providing front-desk coverage, managing a busy, multi-line phone system, greeting customers as they enter the office, managing incoming/outgoing mail and shipments, inventory management and maintaining an organized, clean office environment.
·Support senior management as required.
·Provide excellent customer service with timely follow-up to ensure satisfaction with goods and services purchased, resolving any arising problems, and preparing sales reports to maintain the primary goal of customer satisfaction.
·Ensure optimal use of office equipment, supplies, and product inventory through preventive maintenance.
·Coordinate internal and external resources to expedite workflow.
·Create system specifications, drafting and proofreading documents as required.
·Coordinate the provision of services, arranging delivery of goods, and oversee equipment installation.
·Review and prepare workflows, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for efficiency, productivity, quality, and customer service.
·Maintenance of business records including expenses incurred, preparation of sales reports, and reporting to sales management on sales made and the marketability of goods and services.
·Maintain a safe, healthy and positive work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.
Position duties involve:
·Delivering customer service to clients in-store, over the phone, and on-site as needed.
·Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing trade customers through regular engagement and with new customers through research, outbound calls, and other necessary means.
·Preparing trade and retail orders in a timely and accurate manner.
·Handling the receipt and dispatch of goods, including the loading and unloading of goods.
·Reconciling incoming and outgoing stock by cross-checking with requisitions and updating inventory and stock location records in the POS system.
·Inspecting incoming and outgoing stock to ensure accurate fulfillment.
·Creating samples and swatches for display and distribution.
·Calculating end-of-day balances, optimizing loss prevention measures, and overseeing monthly stock control.
·Assisting the senior management team in meeting budgets and business goals.
·Regularly reporting to senior management, providing progress updates, analysing productivity, developing actionable plans for loss prevention, and addressing any issues promptly.
·Writing, creating, editing, and publishing engaging content for social media as required.
·Capturing pictures and videos of ongoing and completed projects.
·Perform daily store opening and closing procedures when required.

·Physical fitness to perform manual warehouse tasks.
·Comfortable in handling confidential information.
Requirements for this role:
·Driver’s license is required.
·Forklift ticket is preferred, must be willing to obtain if not currently held.
·Previous sales representative or warehouse experience is preferred.
