About the Aboriginal Health Council of Western Australia
The Aboriginal Health Council of Western Australia (AHCWA) is the peak body representing 24 Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services across the state.
Guided by an Aboriginal Board of Directors, AHCWA exists to strengthen culturally secure, holistic primary healthcare. It supports its Members through advocacy, workforce development, sector leadership, and capacity building.
Everything AHCWA does is grounded in Aboriginal leadership, self-determination, and improving outcomes for communities across Western Australia.
As part of its growth under the National Skills Agreement, AHCWA is now investing in something significant. The organisation is bringing its Registered Training Organisation back to life with a clear focus on building a workforce that supports better health outcomes for Aboriginal people.
