The Position
As a Roof Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roof plumbing systems across a range of residential and commercial projects. Your duties will include:
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining roof drainage systems, including gutters, downpipes, rainwater heads, and flashing systems.
- Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal products used in roofing and drainage systems.
- Installing and repairing roof flashings, cappings, and metal roofing components to ensure proper waterproofing and weather protection.
- Fabricating and installing roof drainage and stormwater systems according to building plans and specifications.
- Inspecting roofs and drainage systems to identify leaks, faults, or maintenance requirements.
- Ensuring roofs are properly sealed and protected against water penetration.
- Working safely at heights and complying with Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations.
- Reading and interpreting construction plans and technical drawings.
- Liaising with supervisors and team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to specification.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in roof plumbing or roofing.
- Strong skills in installing and repairing roof drainage systems, gutters, and flashings.
- High standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
- White Card (Construction Induction Card).
- Relevant trade qualification in Roof Plumbing or Plumbing (preferred).
- Current driver’s licence.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
