Restaurant Manager (Full-Time)

Zushi is a contemporary Japanese restaurant group with locations in Barangaroo and Surry Hills, known for combining the elegance of traditional Japanese cuisine with a modern Australian twist. Our Barangaroo venue offers a stunning waterfront dining experience within one of Sydney’s most vibrant precincts.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated full-time Restaurant Manager to join our team at our Barangaroo location.

About the Role

This is a full-time position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards across all aspects of the business.

Key Responsibilities

1. Managing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant
2. Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality
3. Supervising, training, and rostering front-of-house staff
4. Monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and managing inventory
5. Managing budgets, controlling costs, and supporting financial performance
6. Ensuring compliance with food safety, health regulations, and licensing requirements
7. Handling customer feedback and resolving complaints effectively
8. Coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and consistent quality
9. Implementing and maintaining operational procedures and service standards
10. Assisting with marketing initiatives and promotional activities

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

1. A Diploma of Hospitality Management or an equivalent qualification
2. At least 1 year of relevant work experience in a similar role
3. Strong leadership and team management skills
4. Excellent communication and customer service abilities
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
6. Good understanding of restaurant operations and compliance requirements
7. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences
