REFRIGERATION TRADESPERSON CONSTRUCTION

Due to ongoing company growth throughout North Queensland, we are seeking reliable, motivated, and experienced Refrigeration Tradesperson to join our Mechanical Construction Department in Townsvilleon a permanent, full-time basis.

The successful candidate/s will be primarily responsible for carrying out new installation and refurbishment works on Industrial and Commercial Air-Conditioning systems for Peak ARE’s diverse and extensive Client base.

About the Role

The role is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of large-scale commercial refrigeration plant installation works. Including supervising labourers and apprentices, coordinating daily tasks, and ensuring materials, plant, and/or contractors are organised and used efficiently. Responsibilities include maintaining site safety, compliance, and cleanliness; supporting accurate ordering, procurement, and documentation; completing or assisting in project handovers; and resolving site issues to keep works on schedule. The role works closely with supervisors and management to maintain workflow, meet performance targets, and ensure all installation activities are completed in line with WHS&E requirements and company standards.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role and join our team, ideally you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

1. Commitment to the production of high-quality work and the ability and desire to always deliver exceptional customer service.
2. The ability to work autonomously and within our team
3. Previous experience with Commercial Chilled water systems would be highly advantageous, however not compulsory
4. Knowledge of refrigeration and chilled water installation principles and best industry practice
5. Knowledge of basic construction principles
6. High quality of workmanship and attention to detail
7. Leadership qualities

Essential Criteria, Qualifications and License Requirements

1. Current C Class Drivers Licence
2. Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
3. Current Refrigeration Handling (ARCtick) Licence
4. Restricted Electrical Licence
5. QBCC Workers Licence
6. General Construction Card
7. Security clearances and Blue Card
8. Additional licences highly regarded
