The Role

As a Recruitment Consultant at Labour Connect, you will play a pivotal role in connecting skilled candidates with leading businesses across Australia. You will manage the full 360 recruitment cycle, from business development to candidate placement, across our core industries.

Key Responsibilities

● Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and reference-checking candidates for both blue-collar and white-collar roles across construction, logistics, aviation, manufacturing, and engineering.

● Build and maintain client partnerships by understanding workforce needs and providing tailored solutions including casual assignments, temp-to-perm arrangements, or direct permanent placements.

● Leverage our rigorous vetting process to ensure all candidates meet compliance, induction, and site-ready standards so they can be deployed at short notice.

● Work across flexible placement models, matching candidates to immediate temporary assignments, trial-to-permanent opportunities, or direct hires depending on client demand.

● Collaborate closely with internal teams including compliance, payroll, and operations to ensure smooth candidate onboarding and timesheet management.

● Proactively manage candidate pools, maintaining talent pipelines for high-demand construction roles such as civil, infrastructure, and building sites, as well as white-collar positions.

● Provide market insights to clients and candidates on salary trends, award conditions, and workforce availability within your specialised sectors.

● Contribute to business growth by identifying new client opportunities, conducting client meetings, and supporting account expansion across your designated industries.

About You

● Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resource Management (or a related discipline).

● 5+ years’ recruitment experience, with proven recruitment experience within the Construction, Warehousing, Logistics, Aviation, Manufacturing, and Engineering sectors preferred.

● Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end recruitment processes, from vacancy brief to placement and induction.

● Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with both candidates and clients.

● Resilient, target-driven, and comfortable working to deadlines.

● A team player who aligns with Labour Connect’s values of trust, integrity, and client-first service.

Why Join Labour Connect?

● Rapidly growing national agency with a clear vision to be Australia’s most reliable recruitment partner.

● Supportive, collaborative culture where your success is celebrated.

● Transparent commission structure with high earning potential.

● Career progression opportunities as we continue to expand.

● Autonomy to manage your desk with backing from a rigorous candidate pool and compliance team.

● Opportunity to make a real impact on both client businesses and candidate careers.
