The role:

We’re excited to begin our search for a full-time, permanent Product Development Engineer, to join our innovative and passionate Product Team, based in North Melbourne, Victoria.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering and Delivery you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our software solutions, by leading the sustainable design, development, and deployment of front back-end software. Your expertise will ensure seamless functionality, scalability, and an exceptional user experience, and aid in your effortless collaboration with cross-functional teams, to deliver impactful solutions that are essential to delivering our business strategy.

How would you contribute to our success?

• Develop and engineer products that form part of our Solution Platform for Rauland customers.
• Maintaining and improving the quality of software development processes.
• Analysing and estimating development tasks for enhancements and defect corrections.
• Understanding and translating customer requirements into quality code and algorithms.
• Applying a balanced approach between risk and development /implementation of products.
• Champion and effectively execute development and release tasks through provided systems and solutions.
• Partner with internal product specialists to support the resolution of technical issues and software defects.
• Becoming a subject matter expert on the products, processes and tools you apply and work on.

What Will Be Expected from You?

• A Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years developing software with C#.
• Web development using Microsoft ASP.NET Core MVC, HTML 5, JavaScript and CSS.
• Structured Query Language (SQL) experience

What will make your application stand out?

• Experience developing REST APIs and GraphQL.
• Some understanding of web development using frameworks such as React, AngularJS or Vue.js.
• Some understanding of concurrent, parallel and asynchronous programming.
• Some understanding of DevOps and cloud deployment strategies.
• Object Oriented Design and modern-day best practices.
• Developing in an agile environment.
• Good time management, ability to participate in teamwork.
