Salary: $76,500 to 80,000 + Superannuation

They are currently seeking a Product Design Engineer to support their manufacturing and design team by delivering engineering solutions from concept to production.
Minimum Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field (or an equivalent overseas qualification)
- At least 1 year of relevant full-time work experience in product design or engineering support roles
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, design processes, and safety regulations
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and coordinate production of customer orders where engineering drawings are not supplied
- Prepare manufacturing drawings and support the production team to meet customer specifications
- Convert physical samples into digital prototypes for verification and full-scale production
- Evaluate and improve current manufacturing processes to reduce cost and enhance quality
- Conduct product research and implement structural and technological improvements in design
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external clients to ensure project alignment and timelines
- Run design concepts through testing protocols and document findings
- Raise technical quotes and prepare supporting documents for sales and tendering purposes
- Use CAD/CAM systems to design, visualise, and support prototype development
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, procedures, and workplace safety regulations
Skills Required:
- Proven ability to interpret and produce detailed technical drawings
- Strong skills in CAD software and product design visualisation
- Methodical and analytical approach to problem-solving
- Effective communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated time and resource planning capabilities
