Job Description
Conduct scale-up and validation of feasibility trials for product innovation and modifications. Verify cooking specifications and procedural protocols for both newly acquired and existing equipment, while concurrently implementing continuous improvement initiatives to standardise methodologies and optimise efficiency within the production environment.
Reporting into the Food Technologist Manager, this role will be based on-site at our custom built production facility in Karawatha.
You will…
- Design and develop new processes to support new product development, enhance plant operations, reduce costs, and improve product quality
- Analyse and optimise existing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality
- Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement corrective actions
- Analyse production data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and make informed decisions for process improvements.
- Conducting factory trials to improve process efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including trial reports and standard operating procedures
- Provide training and support to production staff to enhance skills and ensure efficient operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—operations, product development, procurement and quality—to ensure effective implementation of process improvements
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies
You have…
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in the food manufacturing industry, preferably in a process engineering capacity
- Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, food safety standards, and regulatory compliance

- An excellent communicator and collaborator, with the ability to work seamlessly across teams and functions.
