Operating for over 15 years, the business delivers structured art and clay education programs to children, adults, and NDIS participants through a diversified service model including classes, workshops, and private sessions.
About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Private Teacher / Tutor to deliver structured educational programs across a diverse client base including children, adults, and NDIS participants.
This is a hands-on teaching role focused on delivering high-quality, engaging, and inclusive learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and deliver structured art and ceramics lessons for individuals and small groups
- Provide tailored instruction across varying skill levels, including beginners and advanced learners
- Deliver one-on-one and group sessions, including NDIS-supported participants
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs
- Develop educational materials, lesson plans, and creative programs aligned with business offerings
- Facilitate studio-based learning including pottery wheel work, hand-building, and mixed media art
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment at all times
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, session outcomes, and participant progress
- Support workshop delivery including school holiday programs, events, and private bookings
- Contribute to program development and continuous improvement of teaching delivery
Skills and Experience
- Relevant qualification in art, education, or a related field (minimum Diploma level or higher)
- At least 1 year of demonstrated experience in teaching or tutoring
- Strong ability to deliver structured learning programs across diverse age groups
- Experience working with individuals with additional needs (e.g. NDIS participants) highly regarded
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles
- Strong organisational and time management skills
Compliance Requirements
- Working with Children Check (QLD Blue Card)
- Disability Worker Screening (Yellow Card) or willingness to obtain
- Current First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
