About the Role
North Geelong Medical Clinic is looking for a vibrant and committed Registered Nurse to join our nursing team. We are a private general practice with a strong commitment to community health and wellbeing. The role is 3 days per week on a Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. Our clinic is open Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, with no evenings, weekends, or public holidays. As part of this team, you will be integral to the running of our busy treatment room.
Care delivery includes [but not limited to]
Acute and chronic wound management
Child and adult immunisations
Chronic Disease Management and care planning
Assisting with minor procedures and iron infusions
Preventative health strategies
Spirometry
Cold chain management and infection control
Maintaining recall and results systems
Stock management and ordering
Candidate attributes
Demonstrated nursing experience in general practice or primary care setting
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
Flexibility with availability
Desirable attributes
Experience in childhood vaccinations and the National Immunisation Program
Familiarity with the accreditation standards for General Practice [RACGP standards]
Experience in Chronic Disease Care planning
Commitment to community health and preventative health strategies
Experience with Best Practice Software
Experience in Aged Care settings
Commitment to Quality Improvement
Strong organisational skills
Ability to work as a team or autonomously
Keen attention to detail
