About the Role
Join the team at CHEMICAL ELIXIR’s manufacturing plant at Lismore, NSW as a Plant Operator,responsible for monitoring equipment and controlling processes and ensure that our plant runs safely, smoothly, and efficiently.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented operator who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and contributing to a high-performing production environment, while adhering to stringent quality and safety standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Operate, monitor and adjust chemical processing equipment to ensure safe and efficient production.
2.Responsible for the batch preparation including preparing ingredients and raw materials.
3.Measuring ingredients and filling Mixer with product
4.Perform packaging, sealing, labelling, and visual inspection of cleaning products
5.Updating batch records and documentation
6.Quality Control duties including collecting samples, labelling and sending for product testing
7.Monitoring timing, pressure and temperature levels and adjusting when necessary
8.Use RF scanners for batch tracking, inventory control, and stock accuracy
9.Follow SOPs, QA procedures, and workplace health & safety protocols, including handling hazardous chemicals and responding to alarms.
10.Support daily production targets through teamwork and attention to detail
11. Perform routine inspections maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure equipment is functioning correctly and identify potential issues before they escalate.
12.Take and analyse process samples to maintain product quality and optimise plant performance.
13. Participate in safety training and actively contribute to our safety culture.
14.Undertake additional duties as required.
Skill requirements:
1.Qualification of Certificate III or equivalent. Three years of work experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
2.Minimum two years of experience in a chemical plant or manufacturing environment.
3.The physical agility and fitness to effectively carry out tasks.
4.The motivation to undertake theoretical and practical training to allow for progression in a timely manner.
5.A strong work ethic, self-motivation, and the ability to work autonomously
6.Effective written and verbal communication and teamwork skills
7.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
8.Sound computer skills to support operational processes
9.Strong commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
10.A genuine interest in being part of a small, flexible team
