Our client, who is a French qualified pastry chef, runs a very successful boutique bakery and café in Palm Beach on the Gold Coast. They have an opportunity for a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join their team in on a full-time basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and professional bakery environment, contributing to the creation of high-quality French pastries and baked goods while maintaining their commitment to excellence.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for preparing, baking, decorating and presenting a wide range of mainly French pastries, desserts and viennoiserie products. You will ensure all products meet quality standards while complying with food safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organised work environment.

Requirements:

  1. A relevant Certificate III or IV in Patisserie (or equivalent qualification, apprenticeship and work experience)
  2. Knowledge of French pastry techniques, baking methods and Australian food safety standards
  3. Ability to operate ovens and monitor baking processes, including temperature control
  4. Reliable, organised and detail-oriented approach to work
  5. Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays as required

Salary and Benefits:

  1. $75,000 - $80,000 per year (depending on skills, qualifications, and experience)
  2. Full-time ongoing position
