Salary: $85,000 plus superannuation per annum

Our client Home Style Renovations Pty Ltd is a trusted residential and commercial renovation business, delivering quality workmanship across Sydney. They specialise in full interior and exterior refurbishments, including painting, waterproofing, and decorative finishes.

They are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Painter to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paints, stains, and coatings to various residential and commercial structures, ensuring a high-quality and durable finish.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks or holes, and applying undercoats or sealers to ensure proper adhesion of topcoats.
2. Apply paint, varnish, stain, wallpaper, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment as required by project specifications.
3. Read and interpret work orders or plans to determine required materials, techniques, and colour schemes.
4. Mix and match paints to achieve specific shades or finishes.
5. Protect surfaces using drop cloths, masking tape, and protective coverings during painting processes.
6. Perform finishing touches and detailed work, such as trimming, touch-ups, or textured coatings.
7. Clean tools and work areas after job completion and dispose of hazardous materials in compliance with safety standards.
8. Maintain a high standard of work quality, ensuring all painting tasks meet client expectations and safety regulations.

Requirements:

1. At least three (3) years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications
2. At least three (3) years of proven experience as a Painter
3. White Card
4. Knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials
5. Ability to work independently or as part of a team
6. Strong attention to detail.
