Wakefield Painting Systems has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Painter to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Setting up ladders and access equipment safely and placing protective drop sheets to protect surrounding areas from paint splashes.
Preparing surfaces prior to painting by removing old paint or wallpaper, repairing timber where required, filling holes and cracks, and sanding and sealing surfaces to ensure a smooth finish.
Preparing paints and coatings for application, including selecting suitable products, checking colour consistency, and adjusting paint where required.
Applying paints, varnishes and stains to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers and spray equipment to achieve a high-quality finish.
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by cleaning tools, equipment and work areas after completing tasks.
Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
Applicants for this position should:
Hold relevant trade qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
Have at least 1 year of relevant full-time painting experience.
Hold a current driver’s licence.
Have reliable transport to travel to and from job sites.
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Remuneration
Salary range: $77,000 – $80,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on experience.
