Mulesoft Tech Lead - Contract

We're looking for a MuleSoft Integration Tech Lead to join our team during a key transitional period in our financial services environment. In this contract role, you'll take the lead on enterprise integration initiatives, driving end-to-end solution design, development, and delivery using MuleSoft.

This is a hands-on technical leadership position, ideal for someone with deep integration experience and a strategic mindset. You'll be working closely with stakeholders across the business, technology teams, and global delivery partners to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant solutions are implemented across our systems.

What You'll Be Doing

• Owning integration delivery - Lead the technical execution of MuleSoft-based integrations across multiple platforms and services
• Setting the direction - Define best practices, reusable patterns, and integration standards suited for financial services environments
• Partnering with the business - Work directly with stakeholders to shape and refine integration needs and ensure regulatory considerations are met
• Leading the team - Mentor developers, provide technical oversight, conduct code reviews, and collaborate with onshore and offshore teams
• Ensuring operational excellence - Support DevOps processes (CI/CD), resolve complex issues, and maintain a high standard of system performance, scalability, and security
• Supporting transition - Play a key role in knowledge transfer from the outgoing Tech Lead to ensure continuity and success

What You Bring

• Hands-on experience leading complex MuleSoft integration projects in enterprise or financial settings
• Strong understanding of API-led connectivity, RESTful APIs, RAML, and data transformation
• Familiarity with Java and Spring Boot in integration workflows
• Working knowledge of API gateways like Axway, and experience across other integration platforms or ESBs is an advantage
• Comfortable working within cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and CI/CD environments (e.g., Jenkins, Git)
• Proven track record of working with distributed teams and delivering high-impact solutions under pressure
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Bonus Points

• Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or other observability platforms
• Financial services experience, particularly in environments governed by compliance and data sensitivity
• Agile delivery experience and comfort navigating fast-paced change
