The property offers accommodation, dining, and hospitality services to travellers, tourists, and workers passing through the region. We are currently seeking an experienced and responsible Motel Manager to oversee accommodation operations and ensure guests receive a high standard of service.
Position Overview
The Motel Manager will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the motel, supervising staff, maintaining facilities, and ensuring guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming stay.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations including reservations, reception, room service, and housekeeping.
- Supervise cleaning staff and ensure rooms and common areas are maintained to a high standard.
- Monitor security arrangements and coordinate property, garden, and general maintenance activities.
- Coordinate accommodation bookings and manage room availability.
- Supervise bar, restaurant, and function activities when required in coordination with hospitality staff.
- Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, gaming regulations, and other relevant laws.
- Monitor guest feedback and customer satisfaction, and address any concerns promptly.
- Manage financial records including daily takings, accounts, and purchasing activities.
- Maintain stock levels for accommodation supplies and order items as required.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations across the property.
- Recruit, train, and supervise reception, housekeeping, and other support staff.
- Prepare staff rosters and manage workforce scheduling.
- Provide guests with local tourism information and assist with arranging tours or transportation if required.
- Handle customer enquiries, bookings, and special requests professionally.
- Ensure the overall appearance, cleanliness, and functionality of the property is maintained.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in motel, hotel, or accommodation management.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Good customer service and communication abilities.
- Basic knowledge of financial management and booking systems.
- Ability to manage multiple operational tasks in a busy environment.
