LEVEL 3 MIXED PRACTICE VETERINARIAN REQUIRED (FULL TIME)

Ninderry Vet Surgery is a small animal & equine practice with a little bit of farm animal work. We are in the middle of the Sunshine Coast in the town of Yandina, and have a purpose built almost-new small animal clinic with all the toys.

A Level 3 Mixed Practice Veterinarian is an experienced veterinary surgeon who conducts professional work including more difficult assignments requiring substantial professional experience and initiative. Examples of the specific duties include:

1.Mixed animal surgery relating to reproduction (e.g. dog and cat: spays and caesareans; horse gelds)

2.Mixed animal surgery – general (e.g. lumpectomies, stitch ups and enucleations on large and small animals, ex-laps on small animals)

3.Mixed animal vaccination and preventatives (e.g. dogs and cats - annual vaccination, heartworm and paralysis tick vaccination; horses – Hendra vaccination and 2-in-1; livestock – vaccination as required)

4.Mixed animal medicine – general (consultations for a range of concerns for small and large animals - both in clinic and on farm)

5.Mixed animal ultrasonography (e.g. small animals – pregnancy, injury; obstruction. Large animals – reproduction; injury)

6.Mixed animal radiography

7.Overseeing nurses and mentoring junior veterinary staff
