We are seeking a Mental Health Clinician, Psychologist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse who is passionate about providing person-centred care and working collaboratively within an integrated service model.

About the role
Help aHead Caringbah is an integrated, person-centred health hub connecting mental health, alcohol and other drug services, physical health and psychosocial supports.
 
As a Mental Health Clinician, you will provide specialist mental health expertise within a multidisciplinary team, delivering mental health assessments and evidence-based therapeutic interventions that support consumers to achieve their wellbeing and recovery goals. You will contribute to coordinated care planning, ensuring consumers experience support that is connected, holistic and responsive to their needs.
 
This role is a full-time 12-month fixed term position (to 30 June 2027) with the possibility of extension.  Full time and part time (min 3 days) hours are available.
 
The service operates Monday–Friday, with some extended hours up to 7pm on two days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver brief, goal-focused evidence-based therapies (individual and group)

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial mental health assessments

• Develop recovery-focused wellbeing plans with consumers and carers

• Provide therapeutic interventions such as CBT, ACT and trauma-informed approaches

• Support intake and referral processes to ensure timely access to services

• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and care planning

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and client records

 
Skills & Experience
You will be a qualified Mental Health Clinician with experience delivering therapeutic services in community, health or mental health settings.
 
You will have:
• Current full registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Credentialed Mental Health Nurse, or accreditation with AASW as a Mental Health Social Worker

• Experience conducting mental health assessments and collaborative treatment planning

• Demonstrated ability to deliver evidence-based psychological interventions

• Strong understanding of the biological, psychological and social determinants of mental health
