Your new role
As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and documenting steel projects across a range of sectors. Your role will involve:
- Creating detailed 3D models and general arrangement drawings.
- Developing designs that meet client requirements, certified standards, and cost structures.
- Collaborating with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to evaluate design concepts.
- Producing structural and mechanical drawings
- Utilising SolidWorks and AutoCAD for design tasks
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you will have proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD or similar 3D CAD software. Strong familiarity with design and drafting standards, including AS 1100 series is highly advantageous.
