The Job Role
Goldfields Auto-Tech is seeking for experienced and trade qualified Light Vehicle Mechanics / Automotive Electricians with a keen interest in the 4x4 industry and passion for quality workmanship. They will ideally have the ability to work on a variety of cars, trucks, earth moving, caravans & 4WDs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Mechanical service/repair of 4x4's and cars
- Some fitting of 4wd accessories on odd occasions (bull bars, tow bars, snorkels, side rails etc.) as well as suspension
- Some auto electrical accessory fitting (GPS, UHF, brake controllers and lighting - all training provided)
- Inspect the vehicles electrical components and be able to diagnose issues accurately
- Inspect electronic systems for repair and maintenance
- Conduct electrical work & system upgrades
- Excellent knowledge of electrical and electronic components of vehicles
- Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
Qualifications & Requirements
- All applicants must have at least 2 years of experience
- Trade qualification
- Has passion for 4WD's
- Must be confident in their skills to diagnose and repair electrical faults, air conditioning systems, wiring & fitting extras to vehicles such as dual batteries & electric brake controllers, etc.
- Good Communication Skills
- Eye for details
- Shows pride in their work as well as a "can do" attitude
Salary & Benefits
- The Annual Salary range is from $75,000 to $85,000 commensurate to qualifications, skills, & experience.
