As a Lifestyle Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing and daily experience of clients. You will be part of a warm and supportive care team, creating meaningful leisure, social and spiritual activities that bring joy, confidence and quality of life including for clients living with dementia.

Your Opportunity

This is an onsite permanent part-time role in Castle Hill and Glenhaven Green between Tuesday, Thursday and Friday with some flexibility.

As a Lifestyle Worker, you will provide individualised social, recreational and wellbeing support to clients, aligned with their personal interests, goals, preferences and cultural and spiritual needs. You will help deliver engaging activities, provide personal and social support, and contribute to a safe, uplifting and welcoming environment.

You will work closely with your Team Leader, chaplains, volunteers and care staff to create experiences that promote independence, confidence and enjoyment.

With empathy, creativity and professionalism, you will:

Lifestyle, Recreation & Wellbeing Activities

  • Deliver activities that enrich clients’ lives socially, emotionally, culturally and spiritually

  • Encourage and assist clients to participate, using person‑centred and strengths‑based approaches

  • Support Rhythm of Life and Christian Care principles in all interactions

  • Assist with activity planning, implementation and evaluation

Client Support and Daily Living Assistance

  • Provide personal care and emotional support as required

  • Prepare nutritious meals for centre‑based programs

  • Transport clients to and from groups or activities using fleet or personal vehicles

  • Offer respite support to carers and families

Safety, Compliance and Site Responsibilities

  • Contribute to client assessments, including social histories and individual needs

  • Assist in cleaning and maintaining safe activity environments

  • Ensure compliance with food safety requirements

  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans

  • Participate in continuous improvement, audits and understanding Aged Care Standards

Engagement and Inclusion

  • Support clients to build meaningful relationships and connect with their community

  • Promote inclusive practice, cultural awareness and respect for all backgrounds

  • Encourage opportunities for spiritual support and pastoral care

What You Will Bring

You are warm, patient and creative — someone who loves making a positive difference in the lives of older people. You enjoy working with people, have strong interpersonal skills and love delivering meaningful activities.

You will also need:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care (or willingness to work towards this)

  • Certificate IV in Leisure & Health (or willingness to work towards this)

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in aged care

  • C‑Class Driver’s Licence (essential)

  • A registered, comprehensively insured vehicle
