The Role

With a diverse and large range of products across many industries, key to your success as a Key Account Manager will be your ability to manage and grow existing key clients, open doors to new divisions, cross selling, monitor market trends, both domestic and international, develop expert level product knowledge across relevant products, maintain and develop significant key customer and supplier accounts.

Your primary responsibility will be to foster strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring their satisfaction and driving market share and revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts, developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients
  • Understand clients' business needs, goals, and challenges, and align our solutions to meet their requirements
  • Conduct regular check-ins and meetings with clients to provide updates, address concerns, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales, marketing, finance and product development, to ensure client satisfaction and successful execution of projects and deliverables

Experience and person requirements

  • 3+ years experience in B2B Account Management preferably within food & beverage, manufacturing or packaging
  • Demonstrated success in managing and growing key accounts, as well as acquiring new clients and achieving sales targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on finding win-win solutions
  • Results-driven mindset with a proactive approach to identify and seize business opportunities
  • Familiarity with CRM software and other sales tools to manage customer relationships and track sales activities

This is an all-encompassing role where you will be able to utilise your existing skill set and experience to grow existing accounts and generate new opportunities to deliver an overall very strong contribution within a key division of this successful business.
