Occupation Tasks

  1. Formulate and execute the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies and procedures tailored to the unique needs of CMTG.
  2. Advise & assist the Service Managers and Directors with workforce planning.
  3. Provide strategic guidance and support to Service Managers and Directors on all HR-related matters, including employee relations, employment costs, performance management and risk mitigation.
  4. Advise and assist with implementing solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  5. Advise and assist the Service Managers and Directors in applying recruitment and selection practices in Australia and overseas labour markets.
  6. Advise and assist the Service Managers with probationary meetings and reviews,
  7. Advise and assist the Service Managers and Directors with annual performance reviews.
  8. Support the Service Managers with employee disciplinary and/or performance management processes.
  9. Coordinate induction and training and development programs for new and existing employees.
  10. Conduct investigations regarding employee complaints or concerns.
  11. Oversee the implementation of redundancy/retrenchment policies.
  12. Participate in executive management and staff meetings.
  13. Collaborate with Service Managers and Directors to identify organisational gaps.
  14. Maintain employee training records ensuring compliance of certificates.
  15. Create position descriptions as and when required.
  16. Act as a trusted advisor to Service Managers and Directors offering insights and recommendations to minimise risk and promote compliance with relevant regulations and legislation.
  17. Determine suitable salaries and remuneration and manage reward and recognition programs.
  18. Maintain occupational health and safety programs, ensuring compliance.
  19. Liaise with external providers as and when required.

Skills and Experience

  1. Minimum 5 years’ HR experience required in a managerial position.
  2. Experience required in recruitment, employee relations and performance management.
  3. Strong organisational skills to manage varied deadlines.
  4. Detailed understanding of the Fair Work Act.
  5. Ability to communicate with employees across diverse cultures and build capabilities across all levels.
  6. Ability to handle confidential information and situations in a sensitive manner.
  7. Excellent time management skills in delivering within tight deadlines.
