Head Designer – Sheridan Outlet

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Designer to lead the design and product development of the Sheridan Outlet channel, playing a critical role in shaping commercially successful ranges while supporting Sheridan’s long term strategy and sustainability commitments.

This is a permanent role within the Sheridan Design team, offering the chance to lead, influence and collaborate across a highly respected and creative business.

About the Role

As Head Designer, you will oversee the design and development of seasonal and core Outlet ranges, bringing the Sheridan brand to life while meeting customer and commercial expectations.
You will lead a Design Assistant and collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver innovative and sustainable product.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of Sheridan Outlet ranges in line with seasonal direction, option plans and critical path timelines
• Translate brand strategy into commercially viable product ranges, balancing innovation, margin, and MOQ requirements
• Develop and communicate seasonal creative direction, trend insights and product stories from concept through to business alignment
• Conduct market, trend and competitor research to identify opportunities for category and brand growth
• Partner closely with Merchandise, Buying, Product Development and Sourcing to ensure successful execution from concept to production
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all product data within PLM and supporting systems
• Actively contribute to sustainability and traceability initiatives, supporting Sheridan’s commitments

You will bring:

• 5+ years’ experience in a senior design role, with people leadership experience
• Strong expertise across product or textile design, including finished product development and costing
• Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
• A strong eye for colour, fabric and global macro & micro trends
• Proven ability to balance creative vision with commercial outcomes
• Experience working with PLM systems and cross-functional product teams
• A proactive, organised approach with strong communication and presentation skills
