Our team is highly trained and knowledgeable, providing friendly service and expert guidance. We are looking for a full-time Hardware Technician to work in our Tuggeranong Store, ACT.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Identifying hardware issues in hardware devices such as computers, laptops, mobile phones through testing and troubleshooting techniques.
2. Physically repairing or replacing damaged parts like screens, batteries, liquid damage.
3. Conducting thorough quality checks on repaired devices.
4. Interacting with customers to understand their hardware issues.
5. Providing estimates for repair costs and processes.
6. Performing upgrades to improve device performance.
7. Disassembling and reassembling equipment and devices, as required to enable inspection and diagnostic testing.
8. Installing, configuring, testing necessary drivers, operating systems, and other software.
9. Assisting with data recovery from malfunctioning or damaged devices, using specialized software tools.
10. Monitoring and maintaining stock levels of hardware components, tools and materials needed for repairs.
11. Performing comprehensive testing ad calibration after repairs to ensure devices comply with performance and functionality standards.
12. Keeping abreast of the latest trends, developments, and technologies in mobile and laptop hardware.

The successful candidate must have the following:

1. Strong experience technical background.
2. Sound knowledge to deploy (install, configure, test), maintain and repair hardware and peripherals.
3. Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
4. Reliable and hardworking nature.
5. Great time management skills and discipline.
6. Ability to move shifts and be flexible.

Skills and Experience:

1. Minimum 2 years proven experience as a Hardware Technician / Computer & Mobile phone technician / related field.
2. Relevant certification / qualification or extension work experience will substitute requirement of qualification.
3. Australian experience is essential.
4. Current skills across all popular brands of computers, smart phones and tablets.
5. Experience working in a reputable repairer is ideal.
6. Chip level repair skills.
7. Troubleshooting skills.

You have full time works rights and are available to work on weekends as well.
