Hairdresser position available for an Australian business ELEGANCE SALON HAIR N BEAUTY located in Gisborne VIC 3437. Prospective applicants must have good practical experience working as a hairdresser. Duties include:
- Identify and analyses hair and scalp disorders.
- Identify different facial shapes to suit various hair styles.
- Identify different hair types and give advice on the right scalp and hair maintenance before any treatment is given.
- Perform variety of haircuts such as haircuts and blow wave, restyle, and blow wave etc.
- Perform various hair styles such as standard blow wave, blow wave with Velcro rollers, long hair set, ½ & full hair up, braid and wedding hairs ups.
- Perform hair treatment for dandruff control, hair fall, scanty hair, to make hair look healthy and attractive.
- Perform hair coloring, highlighting, and streaking according to the skin color by using different color services such as color corrections, intensive color, creative color, permanent coloring, semi-permanent coloring, and combinations of these techniques for both young and old clients.
- Shampoo client's hair in preparation for cutting.
- Hair bleaching for full heads.
- Rinsing and removal of chemicals from client's hair.
- Perform styling and removal of wigs using different techniques.
In return for your commitment and skills, you will receive a competitive salary package ($77,000 plus Super) and receive ongoing training with opportunities to develop your skills and career. Applicants with formal qualifications (AQF Certificate 4 in hairdressing or Certificate 3 in hairdressing with 2 years of industry experience) will be prioritized. The position is available full-time, 38 hours/week, but the applicant must be available for 6 days/week and willing to work odd hours (Weekend, late shifts & public holidays).
