Salary: AUD 77000 to 80,000 + Super

Client is looking to fill a full-time position for a qualified Guest House Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of business. ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process and ensuring that safety and security measures are in place to ensure the safety of guests and staff.

You will also be responsible for managing the daily operational administration compliance requirements, providing leadership, training, support and supervision to support workers and assisting the Director with the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.

In this role your main responsibilities include:

• Directing and overseeing reservation, reception, and housekeeping activities

• Ensuring that the check-in and check-out process runs as smoothly as possible and that guests are escorted to the correct room

• Responding to requests or complaints made by guests in a professional and polite manner in order to guarantee customer satisfaction

• Supervising security arrangements including night security, premises security and personal safety arrangements for guests and staff

• Delivering consistent and quality customer service to guests

• Conducting regular property inspections and ensuring that repairs and maintenance issues are reported

• Maximising rent income

• Accurately recording all guest information in tenant management system

• Ensuring compliance with Workplace health and safety legislation

• Handling customer complaints and queries in a professional manner

• Maintaining high standards of morale and personal appearance of all staff

• Promoting and marketing the business positively

Qualifications and experience

• Be qualified with AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) or have minimum three years’ experience as a Guest House. Boarding House Manager

• Ideally at least 2 Years full-time experience in addition to the qualification

  1. The successful candidate will have a passion for the accommodation industry and be career focused. The key skills will include:
  2. Experience in accommodation management and driving a customer service culture, particularly with managing a portfolio of complex clients
  3. Technical knowledge in the conducting of property inspections and process for escalating maintenance issues
  4. Experience in managing compliance to policy and procedure
  5. Strong organisational and time management skills
  6. Excellent relationship management and stakeholder management skills and ability to build confidence and trust
