Engineer Your Career.

At CPP, our Design Engineers focus on creating detailed designs and drawings that show how electrical systems should be built and connected. This includes designing power systems, selecting the right equipment, and working closely with our construction team to bring their designs to life.

The CPP Charles Wright Graduate Program will provide you with the opportunity to gain experience across HV substation and grid connection engineering, including Primary Engineering, Secondary Engineering, SCADA and Commissioning. Rotating across each of these disciplines, you will have the opportunity to build an in-depth understanding of technical design engineering, testing/commissioning, the HV industry, and to prepare you for opportunities for advancement at CPP.

The duration of the program is 2 years where you will work on major HV projects under the supervision of some of the most experienced Electrical Engineers in the industry, gaining hands-on exposure on major HV construction projects across Australia including HV substations, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Windfarms.

About you:

  • Essential: Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (or studying your final year), preferably within the last 4 years, with specialisation in electrical, electronics and/or high voltage power engineering.
  • Essential: Must be studying your undergraduate degree at an Australian University
  • A great attitude with a proactive mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
