Full Time Motor Mechanic

Automotive Lab is looking for a qualified and experienced Full-time Motor Mechanic to join our team.

Salary - $75000 - $85000

Business Location - Clyde North VIC 3978

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Diagnosing and detecting faults in engines and parts with the assistance of computerized and other electronic equipment.
2. Testing and adjusting/tuning mechanical parts after being repaired for proper and better performance.
3. Carrying out repairs and/or maintenance as per the repair order and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components.
4. Courteously dealing with customers and suppliers daily
5. Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with
6. pollution regulations
7. Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired
8. Inspecting vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve road worthiness
9. Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components.

Skills and qualifications

1. AQF Certificate Ill & IV in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology and Diploma of Automotive Technology (or equivalent or higher trade qualifications)
2. Ability to work full time (38 hours per week)
3. Demonstrated passion about the automotive industry
4. Flexible availability for working additional hours on rotating roster as per the requirements of the business.
5. Attention to detail and ability to solve problems.
