$75,000 - $85,000 (higher salary will be considered commensurate to qualifications and experience)

Pezzano Enterprises is a large, established supplier of premium fresh fruit and vegetables to retail, hospitality and major mining clients across Western Australia. To support our commitment to delivering high-quality produce year-round, we are seeking a Fresh Produce Quality Advisor to work closely with our network of growers. The role involves providing end-to-end technical oversight of cultivation practices to address issues such as infestation, disease and reduced post-COVID workforce capacity. This position is essential to maintaining our quality standards, supporting “just-in-time” supply requirements and strengthening partnerships with growers to ensure consistent, reliable and premium-grade produce for our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Engaging effectively with all regular farmers and growers
2. Ensuring that the fruit and vegetable cultivation that require a wealth of information to ensure that seasonal threats and opportunities are properly managed, as every crop is different, which means each approach is unique
3. Identifying disease, soil deficiencies and farming inefficiencies across individual crops
4. Guiding farming activities to align with opportunities for maximum and high-quality yield
5. Providing overarching strategies to sustainably - maximising the productivity of farms
6. Improving yield, preventing disease and managing resistance
7. Convert complex data from various sources into meaningful, actionable and valuable on-farm strategies
8. Help farmers to develop effective strategies for all the above issues – to meet the growing demand and quality expectations of the markets.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Relevant bachelor’s degree, or higher
2. Minimum of 1-year recent experience
