About the Role
Due to ongoing growth and a strong pipeline of infrastructure projects, we are seeking a skilled and fully qualified Formwork Carpenter to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis (38 hours per week).
In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and dismantling formwork systems for structural concrete works across a range of projects, including high-rise developments and civil infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a professional and experienced team delivering high-quality outcomes across diverse project sites.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
-Constructing and installing formwork for concrete structures
-Reading and interpreting construction drawings and plans
-Measuring, cutting, and assembling timber/metal formwork materials
-Operating hand and power tools safely and effectively
-Ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards
-Assisting with concrete pours and site preparation as required
-Making formwork from timber, plywood, plastic, and steel as per shop drawings
-Selecting and ordering materials required and preparing layouts
About You
-Trade qualification in Carpentry or equivalent experience (AQF Certificate III or IV in the relevant field)
-Proven experience in residential structure construction (at least one year required)
-Clear understanding of concrete structure construction
-Able to read and interpret both formwork and steel reinforcement drawings
-Able to lead a team of tradesmen and speak, read, and write English
-Construction White Card
-Able to carry formwork, work outdoors in varying conditions, climb scaffolding, and work at heights
Desirable skills
-Safety procedures knowledge
-Positive, can-do attitude and enjoy working in an inclusive team
-Valid Driving License and transport desirable
