Position: Fitter General. 4 required

Reports to: Workshop / Maintenance Supervisor

Amity Resources Pty Ltd is seeking qualified painters to work under an on-hire arrangement with third-party host employers across Western Australia

Responsibilities

1. Install, service, diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, hoses, actuators, and cylinders.
2. Interpret and work from hydraulic schematics, technical manuals, and engineering drawings.
3. Conduct pressure and performance tests, calibration, and system leak tests.
4. Disassemble, repair or fabricate hydraulic components (e.g. pistons, seals, spools).
5. Carry out preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections of hydraulic equipment.
6. Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and parts used.
7. Adhere to safety, environmental, and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
8. Collaborate with other trades (mechanical, electrical) to support integrated system repairs.

Requirements

1. Only applicants with full Australian work rights will be considered.
2. Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Hydraulics, or equivalent.
3. Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience working with hydraulic systems in mining, heavy industry, or similar.
4. Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, pressure systems, sealing technology.
5. Skilled in fault finding, diagnostics, use of test benches, gauges, and instrumentation.
6. Ability to use hand tools, precision measuring tools, and workshop equipment.
7. Excellent safety awareness and ability to follow procedures.
8. Good communication, ability to work under supervision or autonomously.

Salary & Conditions

1. Base salary: AUD 92,000 per annum + Super
2. Full-time, standard hours, with possible overtime, shift or standby duties
