Job Description

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to support the finance and accounting function of a growing aged care provider.
Working closely with the Finance Manager, this is a hands-on role offering variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to contribute to strategic financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial reports including P&L, balance sheet, internal reports, and cash flow statements
- Reconcile general ledger and intercompany accounts
- Process accruals, journals, and depreciation schedules
- Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff
- Maintain Residential Accommodation Deposit (RAD) and bond registers
- Assist in payroll processing and reconciliations
- Prepare GST, FBT and payroll tax returns
- Contribute to quarterly and annual aged care financial reports (QFR & ACFR)
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies
- Participate in care minute and labour analysis and ad-hoc reporting
- Liaise with auditors and support the year-end audit process
About You:
- CPA qualified with 3+ years' experience in an Accountant-level role in Australia
- Aged care or healthcare sector experience (highly regarded)
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
- Proactive and flexible, willing to take on payroll responsibilities over time
- Committed to working in alignment with values of honesty, empathy, respect, and engagement
