Support the Finance Behind Essential Aged Care and Disability Services

BRAMS is seeking a full-time Finance Officer based in Broome, WA.

This role plays a key part in supporting the financial operations behind BRAMS’ aged care and disability services. Working closely with the Finance Team Leader and broader finance team, you will be responsible for processing billing, managing purchasing activities, and maintaining accurate financial records across multiple programs.

This is a structured and process-driven role suited to someone who enjoys working with systems, maintaining accuracy, and ensuring financial information is handled correctly and on time.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Processing billing for aged care and disability programs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  2. Monitoring billing activity and identifying discrepancies, missing information, or budget variances
  3. Investigating and resolving billing issues in collaboration with internal teams
  4. Preparing and issuing monthly statements and maintaining accurate financial records
  5. Raising and processing purchase orders in line with organisational procedures
  6. Supporting accounts payable, including invoice processing and reconciliation
  7. Assisting with accounts receivable, payroll support, and travel administration as required
  8. Maintaining financial documentation in line with compliance, audit, and reporting requirements
  9. Supporting financial reporting, audits, and general finance administration
  10. Providing support and backup across key finance functions to ensure continuity of operations

Bring Your Attention to Detail and Strong Financial Skills

You will bring at least 2 years' experience in a finance, accounts, or bookkeeping role where you have been responsible for processing financial transactions, managing records, and working with systems and data.

A qualification in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or a related field will be well regarded, but is not essential if you have demonstrated relevant experience.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  1. Experience in financial administration, billing, accounts payable or receivable
  2. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  3. Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  4. Confidence working with financial systems and the ability to learn new software
  5. Ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
  6. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams

Experience working with aged care or NDIS billing systems will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
