Nexzen Accounting is a proactive business advisory & accounting firm specialising in compliance, financial management and tailored advisory services for small businesses and NDIS support providers.
The Finance Manager will play a critical role in maintaining robust internal financial performance while also enhancing the financial health and strategic direction of clients. The Finance Manager is responsible for planning, organising, directing, controlling and coordinating financial and accounting activities within Nexzen Accounting as well as providing strategic financial management, advisory and reporting services for our clients across multiple industries. This includes driving financial performance, compliance, risk management and supporting business growth objectives.
- Lead and manage the firm’s budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes.
- Develop, monitor and evaluate internal financial policies, procedures and strategic plans.
- Prepare and present internal monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow analysis.
- Manage internal financial systems and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy and controls.
- Ensure compliance with financial legislation, accounting standards and tax regulations for the firm.
- Oversee internal cost management, profitability analysis and resource allocation.
- Coordinate external audit processes and liaise with auditors as required.
- Support financial planning and investment decisions for Nexzen’s growth.
- Provide strategic financial advisory services to Nexzen Accounting’s clients, including SMEs and NDIS providers.
- Analyse client financial data and deliver insights, forecasts and reports to support business planning and decision-making.
- Assist clients with budgeting, cash flow management, profitability analysis and financial risk assessment.
- Advise on capital finance proposals, investment strategies and funding needs.
- Develop tailored financial plans and growth strategies aligned to clients’ business objectives.
- Coordinate the implementation and monitoring of clients’ accounting systems and internal controls.
- Provide ongoing support, interpretation of financial results and recommendations to clients’ management teams.
- Ensure clients maintain regulatory compliance and reporting obligations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline (or equivalent via relevant experience).
- Minimum of three years’ experience in financial management, accounting or advisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, budgeting systems and regulatory compliance.
