The Early Learners Wing Centre is located at 5 Carter Street, Albert Park and provides full-time and part-time care for 40 children at one time between the hours of 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.
As an Educator in the Early Learners Wing you will be assisting in the education and care of all children. Be accountable to the Director and Early Learner Team Leader, when appropriate for the implementation of all planned Educational Programs. To ensure an active role in working as part of a team in providing quality childcare and Education for children aged 1–3 years. You'll be reliable in undertaking specific tasks promptly and efficiently, professionally carry out the key responsibilities and duties of the position, with the well-being of the children as your primary concern.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Assist with the implementation of an appropriate Educational Program for children between the ages of 1–3 years of age,
- Carry out daily routines.
- Supervise children as required.
- Encourage children to achieve their full potential.
- Assist in the development of necessary bathroom and dressing skills.
- Support daily routines, including sleep, bathroom, dressing, and transitions.
- Promote each child's learning, wellbeing, and sense of belonging.
- Attend all staff meetings, workshops, professional development sessions and service training sessions as required.
- Be reliable and punctual at all times.
To be successful in this role you'll bring professionalism, caring, reliable and passionate about early childhood education. A strong team player with good communication skills who is committed to inclusive, child-centred practice.
You'll hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and be organized and able to manage daily routines effectively as well as have strong written and verbal communication skills. You'll approach your work with positivity, enthusiasm, and a collaborative, team‑focused mindset.
