Position: Early Childhood Worker (Child Care Worker)
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 plus Superannuation

About Us
Educating Kids Early Learning Centre is an independently owned and operated provider of quality early education and care in QLD, catering for children aged 0 to 5 years. The centre offers the QLD Government Free Kindergarten Program, providing 15 hours of kindergarten each week. We are committed to delivering a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment that supports every child’s learning, development, and wellbeing during their formative years.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the setup and preparation of materials, equipment, and learning spaces for children’s educational and recreational activities in accordance with theEarly Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG).
- Encouraging positive behaviour and guiding children’s social and emotional growth through supportive and developmentally appropriate interactions.
- Delivering engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and play, aligned with EYLF and QKLG principles.
- Engaging children through storytelling, songs, games, and imaginative play to support communication and literacy development.
- Overseeing children’s participation in group and recreational activities to ensure safety, inclusion, and wellbeing.
- Assisting with children’s daily routines to encourage independence, consistency, and self-care skills.
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and supporting children in developing healthy habits and safe practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate III or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent) or at least 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
- Current First Aid qualifications (CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis training) or ability to obtain.
- Valid blue card (or ability to obtain one).
- Demonstrated experience working within an early childhood setting.
- Sound understanding of the EYLF and QKLG and its application in practice.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
