Position Summary

Rise and Shine Learning Centre is seeking a qualified and experienced Early Childhood (Pre-primary School) Teacher to deliver high-quality, play-based and structured learning programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). The role involves supporting children’s holistic development in a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan and implement structured learning experiences across indoor and outdoor environments
  2. Deliver a variety of activities to support children’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development
  3. Promote language and communication development through storytelling, role play, music, and group interaction
  4. Observe, assess, and document children’s progress and developmental needs
  5. Monitor children’s health, safety, and wellbeing, identifying any concerns impacting development
  6. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children’s learning and progress
  7. Attend parent interviews, staff meetings, and centre planning sessions
  8. Participate in community engagement and family support initiatives
  9. Supervise and mentor student teachers during placements

Skills & Experience Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Equivalent or higher(ACECQA-approved)
  2. Current VIT registration (or eligibility to obtain)
  3. At least 1 year experience in early childhood teaching settings
  4. Strong knowledge of EYLF and National Quality Framework (NQF)
  5. Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  6. Ability to support diverse learning needs
