Job Description

Due to significant contract awards within our ANZ Water business, we are expanding our Water Infrastructure team, these awards bring a secure 10 year pipeline of work.

We are searching for a proven Design Manager to join the team, and with AECOM’s flexibility you can base yourself in any of our offices in the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Perth.

The Water Infrastructure group provides services to a range of internal and external clients on projects covering water and wastewater treatment, dams, asset management, major conveyance, industrial, civil infrastructure, mining, and defence sectors, with a key focus on supporting sustainable outcomes for our clients and the communities they serve.

By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to work and collaborate with interstate and international offices.

How you’ll make a difference:

  • Utilise your water infrastructure expertise, leadership, coordination and communication skills to successfully engage and guide project delivery teams, whilst working with closely with end clients and contractors.
  • You will be responsible for overall design delivery including having the ultimate carriage on any design project decisions.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within the constraints of quality, time and budget.
  • Work collaboratively with leaders across our ANZ team for delivery of the projects, as well as assisting with project resourcing and business initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and consulting experience.
  • Experience in water infrastructure engineering and design.
  • Proven track record in the successful delivery of large projects on time, within budget and outstanding quality.
  • Excellent communication skills and high quality technical and non-technical report writing.
  • Client relationship / management skills and experience.
